Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is the closest airport, located about 35–40 miles east of Prospect House. The drive from the airport to Prospect House takes roughly 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
We recommend renting a car, as Dripping Springs is a rural area where rideshare service is limited and unreliable. All major rental companies are available on-site at AUS, and we have arranged for discounted rates from Budget and Avis as a courtesy to our guests.

Where should I stay while I’m visiting town?
We’ve arranged for two room blocks for the convenience of our guests: The Carpenter Hotel in central Austin, and the Holiday Inn Express nearby our venue in Dripping Springs. If you would prefer to stay at an Airbnb or other short term rental, we recommend looking at neighborhoods in central and south Austin, or in Dripping Springs near Fitzhugh Road.
Austin is busy in October, so we recommend booking your hotel room early.

Nestled in an old pecan grove on the edge of Zilker Park, The Carpenter Hotel is truly in the heart of Austin. We think this is a pretty cool place to stay, and it is conveniently located for family pre-wedding events in town. Getting to Prospect House from the Carpenter Hotel will take approximately 25 minutes by car.
